How to turn any drawing into a professional looking drawing - Part 1

Difference between an amateur looking drawing and a professional looking drawing

When we look at drawings, what's the one thing that makes us go "WOW!" rather than just giving a polite "kudos"? Don't get me wrong, I like kudos. I think all the kudos flying around helps to encourage artists to continue refining their drawing process.

But I have a little confession to make. I know, for sure, that many artists won't be able to produce professional drawings for a simple reason. They don't know how to finish off a drawing. For the record, I don't think they even understand why they just couldn't draw anything that looks professional.

So they kept doing what they have always been doing, and the results are predictable. They're going to end up producing what they have always been producing - amateurish looking drawings.

I'm about to draw back the curtains here, and let you see for yourself, a simple fact that'll make all the difference in your future drawings.

The one thing that makes people go "WOW" (and you want people to go WOW when they see your drawings) is DETAIL. Now before you go, "Yah right, I've heard that before," know this. If you're still drawing amateurish drawings, you still don't get it.

This is very, very, very important. So make sure you memorize this simple word "DETAIL", and I'll proceed to explain why this is so important in your art.

The reason why people go "WOW" when they see a detailed drawing is because details give a visual feast. It's almost tantamount to giving others a treat. I know that a sound simplistic but it's true. And sometimes, because it's so simple, it's easy to overlook.

When we give friends a treat, we want to be generous. You want to treat your friends and family members to the best movies, the best restaurants, the best Home Study Courses, etc.

Think about it. Why are the best animation movies in the world so full of details? Compare any cartoon series with the movie version (Transformers, Batman, etc) and I can bet you the movie version beats the TV series in details by a hundred times.
