Emotional Ramblings VS Practical Tips - Part 1What this report is about The idea for writing this report was sparked off by one of the members on this site, who said that he (or she…I don't know, so I'll use "he" in this instance) attended some boring art lessons in school and all that the teacher did was to ramble on and on about some emotional issues, which I'm sure the student wasn't paying any attention to. I didn't know if that's an isolated case of a bored student complaining about his teacher. So I went to a few art forums and poked around. Guess what I found? It wasn't just art lessons with emotional ramblings that were putting people off. Art educational materials had been accused of the same thing! Some of the accusations were along the lines of, "…too many philosophical ramblings…" or "…too many emotional stories…" Here comes the BIG question. If an art lesson or an art book contains philosophical or emotional ramblings, does it mean they are no good? This report attempts to give a satisfactory to the answer above. The information here will help you look at things in a different light, and ultimately help you make better decisions. The next time you go out to choose an art lesson or drawing book, you'd know what to look out for. So pay close attention to what I have to say for the rest of this report. |
