Launch of Free Image Gallery

I’ve been secretly testing some image gallery software for a couple of reasons.

First, some members have been grumbling about a lack of illustrations on the site. Secondly, a few members have taken the trouble to email me their works, which is great. But I’m just one person viewing the works and sharing comments.

Now with the image gallery, members can view and comment on other people’s works. Also, hopefully it’ll stop all the grumbles that there’s not enough illustrations.

It’s free, so do go ahead and create an account for yourself. The registration link is on the top right hand corner. You’ll need to click on a confirmation link to confirm your email and you can start uploading your images to share with the rest of the world within minutes.

Each account starts with 10MB of free webspace. More space can be allocated if necessary. Only registered users can add albums and comments. If you want others to comment on your works, start by commenting on other people’s works. They’ll soon reciprocate and view your albums. :)

Let’s work together to make this site a success. It now has 1,356 members.

Hand Art

A member sent me a picture of her hand art, and I thought I’d share it with everyone. Take a look at this…

See the faint lines in the background? That requires sketching skills. I’ve been writing about the importance of basic sketching skills because so many artists choose to neglect those foundation building activities.

You absolutely need to know how to sketch properly before you can create any kind of wonderful art. The right thing to do here is to be patient and hone your sketching skills before moving on to more advanced stuff like painting, decorating, or hand art.

I want to share this picture with everyone because I want to encourage all the members to start interacting on this site. Whether it’s just sending me some emails or leaving some comments on this site…just let us know what you think and perhaps we can get to know you a little better.

This is only beneficial for all parties. If I can understand you better, I can put out better free and paid reports that’ll suit your needs better.

So…let’s start by telling everyone what you think about this piece of hand art?

Your painting talents

First of all, we’d like to extend a warm welcome to you, and we want to congratulate you for expressing interest in becoming a part of MyArtPassion.com. As you probably already know by now, we strive to become one of the most active online community for artists.

This site is going to be all about you. We’re going to create, from the ground up, an active community of like-minded individuals like yourself. On this site, you’ll be able to chat, trade, connect and bond with other artists. We’ll be installing tools and software where you can show the world your expressive works of art.

But first things first. Before that can happen, we want to get to know you better. That’s why the title of this post is “your painting talents”. We want to know what your goals are, and what you want to achieve. And we’re going to try and help you, whenever possible, to achieve those goals.

So let’s start by leaving a comment on this post by answering just one simple question:

“What would you like to achieve with your painting talents?”

Do you paint for fun? Do you want to sell more paintings? Do you want your paintings to bring more joy for children? Or are you bursting with ideas and just need a place to express those ideas? Whatever it is, we want to know.

Simply leave your comments in the comment box below (no registration is required).

Again, we thank you for joining us and we promise to take good care of you. ;)
