Darren, I look forward to your emails they are full of information. First, here is a little history about me. I don’t know alot about computers and have just recently become very interested. You mention making and maintaining a blog, I think I will be able to make mine interesting and funny where people would want to return. I have an upbeat, cookie, goofy personality and am always making my friends laugh so I can’t wait to try it…I will just have to learn how. Because of your emails, I am on my way to making a fun and functional company for myself (Jewelry, drawings, furniture painting, and much more). My stuff will be displayed in a store in Fowellerville on Tuesday...so keep sending me my emails and I’ll keep coming back and learning. Trish |

Check out some sample illustrations from Vol.2:
I'm sure you can see that I certainly put in my fair share of work by starting this site, keeping it active with weekly blog posts, developing the free content AND the premium products, and putting up the resources for marketing this site…then put in SOME MORE hours to perfect the products.
With so much going on, when I say I put in a conservative estimate of 80-hour work weeks, you know I'm not kidding. I know you're as serious as me in pursuing your art passion. If that's so, you're going to need high quality advice. I've gone ahead and done the leg work for you and did some research on what's available out there.

"My humble workstation"
Now I want to take this opportunity to reveal MORE information based on the research that I did.
If you take the time to go over the research that I did, you'll find that most of the drawing materials out there on the Internet are either too shabby, or they are too expensive.
There's no excuse for shabby materials…you know, the kind that put up 10-15 page reports and try to sell it for $19.95. Or the super boring DVD with drawing lessons for beginners that sells for $34.95.
And these lessons barely scratch the surface when it comes to showing you how to draw. I certainly wouldn't pay a single cent for any shabby material, that's for sure.
There are some drawing resources that are free on the Internet, but I find them lacking in depth, organization, and quality. That's just the nature of free materials. Because they are given away freely, authors find that there's little incentive for them to improve on the materials. That also helps to explain why free resources often contain information of little value. As they say, "You pay peanuts, you get monkeys."
So unless you're only interested in drawing monkeys, I highly doubt these free resources are going to help you much.
The more expensive materials are geared towards the semi-pros and the pros. A 3 hour DVD can easily cost $150. These materials are obviously not for everyone. And besides, they are out of reach for many people.
When I started developing the Home Study Course, I wanted it to be meant for ANYONE who wants to learn how to draw. And you can be sure that if you follow the step by step instructions in the course, you are well on your way to drawing beautiful pictures. I guarantee it.
If you're going to attend any drawing lessons, you'll find yourself paying $50 per lesson, maybe more.
But you know what; I can really prove to you that you don't need to attend expensive drawing lessons to learn how to draw.
Not only will you save boatloads of money when you invest in the Home Study Course, you'll also save lots of valuable time. Imagine saving hours of commuting time traveling to and fro the learning center. Plus, there's no guarantee that the information you're getting will be as valuable as what I have in store for you.
Now that you have all these information at your fingertips, how would you choose to invest your hard earned money if you want to learn how to draw or paint? Let's consider your options.
Option A: Invest in a shabby report that costs $19.95….No, I don't think that's for you.
Option B: Invest in a DVD 3 hour lesson that costs $150.00…wrong fit here and too costly!
Option C: Attend drawing lessons at $50.00 per lesson….doesn't sound too cheap here, and a major waste of time commuting.
Option D: MyArtPassion Home Study Course Vol. 1 & 2 at $xx amount… (Well, that's my course.)
I put the value as $xx there because that's what I'm going to talk about next, and I want you to fully understand how I arrive at that pricing. Since my goal is to get them into the hands of as many people as possible, rest assured that I'll try to keep the price as low as I can.
You know I'm not going to try something outrageous and charge you $197 for a Home Study Course, though I firmly believe that it's definitely worth that amount. Heck, I'm not even going to charge you $167 for it. What I'm going to try to do is to do the opposite of what my competitors are doing.
I'm going to price the Home Study Course based on the LOWEST viable pricing point that I can go. (Remember, you see this here first.)
What do I mean? Take a look at some of the products around. Some will cost as cheap as $9.95. Quality aside, I certainly don't think that's a viable price point for the product in the long run.
That's because there's a cost to promoting any product, even online. And at $9.95, the site is going to find that it'll have a hard time getting enough resources to continue growing the site.
Without growth, you and I both know what's going to happen. You don't need me to remind you. That's right, the website will have a much lower chance of surviving.
Given the tremendous amount of information and value that I bring to the table with this course, I think I have every right to charge $197 for the entire Home Study Course.
I've literally taken months to develop this course from scratch, and I firmly believe in its quality and value.
And it's not just me blowing my own trumpet. There are others, who have invested in the Home Study Course and supported the site, who think likewise.

Who is Darren Chow If you make it this far, I'd like to congratulate you for being one of those who's absolutely serious about pursuing the art of drawing and painting. With your kind of commitment, I'm sure you'll be able to draw great pictures in no time. Why am I so confident of that? It's because I am a firm believer that everyone can draw. Drawing techniques can be taught, but if you have no interest in art, nothing I do will motivate you to come back and draw again and again and again until you master those skills. Only strong desire and interest can make you a self-motivated artist. I've given you a spring board that'll help you hone your skills and allow you to take your drawings and paintings to greater heights. How do I know? Believe it or not, everything you see here is self-taught. I never went to any expensive art school or anything like that. As a kid, I used to walk around with a sketch book tucked under my arm. As far as I can remember, I always had that sketch book with me everywhere I go. Whenever I get the chance, I'll start doodling. When I started schooling, I always bought extra exercise books. That's right, I used them for drawing. In fact, I think I spent most of my time in school drawing. Everybody would be busy making notes and I would be drawing. When I feel bored, I draw. When I feel frustrated about anything, I draw. I just love drawing. It's therapeutic for me. I had a couple of thick exercise books, completely filled with comics. They make all my friends laugh. Drawing is one passion that I think I'll never be able to ditch. The other passion that I don't think I'll ever ditch is to create websites. I love creating websites, and have been doing it for 7 years now. The first one I created was in year 2000, and I think it's one of the ugliest website you'll ever see. It had a completely black background, with red stripes all over the place. Yucks! ;p Fast forward to present terms, I've created hundreds of websites since then. Flash sites, database driven sites, web directories, article sites, corporate sites, personal blogs, etc. So now that you know a little about me, you'll start to see why I started MyArtPassion.com. The Internet has presented me with this tremendous opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals. I'd like to build myartpassion.com into one of the best website for artists on the Internet, and would like to invite you to join me on this journey. It's going to be one heck of a ride! |
